Guy Murray is the Co-Head of Short-Term Lending at West One, overseeing both the bridging and development finance divisions across the business.
With more than 11 years of experience within the specialist property finance sector, Guy is responsible for helping shape the strategic direction of West One’s short-term lending proposition while supporting a broad range of residential, commercial and mixed-use property transactions.
Since relocating to the UK from New Zealand and stepping into his role at West One, Guy Murray has played a key role in the growth and evolution of the lender’s short-term finance proposition across both bridging and development finance.
Under his leadership, the division has successfully funded more than £1.5 billion in property transactions, including the firm’s largest-ever deal, a £31.2 million facility supporting a major residential scheme in West London.
Guy is also highly knowledgeable on the wider macroeconomic factors impacting the specialist property finance market and regularly comments on topics including build cost inflation, supply chain pressures, lending trends and market cycles. He is a strong advocate for agile and relationship-led lending, believing that close collaboration between lenders, brokers, developers and professional partners is essential to navigating market volatility and delivering successful outcomes for clients.
