West One raise £5,000 for charity at inaugural 8 a-side football tournament

West One Loans has raised £5,000 for six amazing charities at its inaugural 'Kicking for a cause' 8-a-aside football tournament that pitted rival teams from across the industry against each other. 

The knock-out competition was held at The Hive London Stadium - home of national league side Barnet FC - on Friday 7th July with participating teams from Knight Frank, Sirius, Affinity, SPF, Allsop and West One. The money raised will go to six charities chosen by each of the participating teams, including Spread a Smile, Gold Geese, SANE, Shelter, The Cycle and Mental Health Foundation.

Haley McPherson, Group Marketing Director, West One says: "We were motivated to launch 'Kicking for a cause' to try and raise as much money as possible for multiple charities. 

"We are over the moon to have reached our target of £5,000 and we hope this is just the beginning of a longer fundraising journey. 

"We want to come back next year and build on that target we want more teams, a bigger crowd, fiercer rivalries and to ultimately, raise money."
